Club and Board news for this month include the following items:
The RCSV Christmas Party will be held at the Pioneer Room, behind the Heritage Hotel, Old Petrie Town on Friday 12 Dec 2025 at 18:00 h. An invite has been sent out together with an RSVP e mail from Club Runner;
Please note that the following RCSV Board positions need to be filled before Change Over at the end of June 2026 for the 2026 / 2027 year: President Elect, Club Director and Community Events Director. Please nominate / second one or more RCSV members for these exciting roles, that are backed by a very experienced Board:
Dr Lorelle Stanisic has kindly offered to stand for the role of Club Secretary in 2026 / 2027;
Copies of the Village Pump articles produced by Carol R and Bob M are now being stored on Club Runner, so that we have easy access to historical articles;
The Volunteer Sign Up List on Club Runner is now being employed to recruit volunteers for RCSV events. This automated list-system makes the signing up and tracking of volunteers for specific events easier.

Community Service News
The following Community Service activities have been initiated / delivered this month:
A Bunnings Keperra RCSV Sausage Sizzle will be held on Sat 06 Dec 2025;
Planning works are in progress for the construction of a park bench at the top of the Rail Trail between Lanita Crescent and Lanita Rd, Ferny Grove. Bob M, Janelle Y and Gary B are part of the committee that is driving this initiative;
Fort rehabilitation works at the Samford Playgroup are in progress and should be completed before Christmas 2025.

Earlyact and Interact News
Earlyact activities that have been delivered this month (thanks Carol R !!!) are as follows:
The Earlyact Students support for Stroke Victims (Term 4 Project) has been completed via their Encouragement Posters. These posters were made on their iPads. Chappy Joss will now upload these works of art to the Stroke Awareness Facebook page. An example of their work is provided below.
The Earlyact club had their last meeting for the year and a Break-up Party was held on Thursday 27 Nov 2025.
Carol took some ice blocks to school as a thank you and Merry Christmas on behalf of RCSV. Joss and the children in turn thanked Janelle and Carol for our involvement and support. There was genuine enthusiasm for "doing it again next year".
Paul J will attend the Year 6 Graduation Ceremony at Samford State School on behalf of the RCSV - Weds 10 Dec 2025

International News
The following RCSV International activities have been initiated / delivered this month:
The donation of funds to the Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief Institute (HADRI) water filter program, has been considered by the RCSV Board and we aim to present Mitch King with such a donation at his RCSV talk in 2026;
Following our donation to Wheelchairs for Kids Australia (WfKA) last month, Ian S has completed further research to apply for a District Grant, in order to purchase more wheelchairs. WfKA has agreed to the Ian S grant proposal and will support the RCSV in this endeavor. Two RCSV members will undergo online training so that we can apply for this grant;
Ian S has also suggested that we invite a member of the PNG School Desk Project to talk on this subject at the RCSV, whilst they are in Australia for the Tri-District Conference 2026. Paul J is in the process of organizing this event in May next year;
The potential to donate funds to Rotary Groups / international partnerships who are assisting people to recover from Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines, specifically in the area of clean water delivery is also a potential project for 2026.
